The Boker Tirpitz Damascus Knife is a piece of history you can hold in your hands. This knife is named for and forged with steel from the legendary Tirpitz, sister ship of the Bismarck. The Tirpitz was the largest battleship ever launched by the German Navy. The steel of the ship was of such unusually high quality that companies sought to retrieve it after it was taken down by Allied bombers on November 12th, 1944. Now its steel is being used to create this high-quality collector’s knife using the recently recovered secrets of ancient swordsmithing. The Boker Tirpitz Damascus Knife has been forged with the techniques used to make Damascus steel with over 300 layers to build strength and resilience. With Tirpitz and carbon steels combined for Damascus forging, a domestic German walnut hilt, and an AlMgSi1 aluminum handle, this knife is as functional as it is historical.
